Kazakhstan,as a member of the Eurasian Economic Union(EAEU),follows the EAC(Eurasian Conformity)certification system(also known as CU TR certification).This certification ensures that products meet the technical and safety requirements of the EAEU,which includes Russia,Belarus,Armenia,Kyrgyzstan,and Kazakhstan.

1.Applicable Regulations:

Products must comply with Technical Regulations(TR CU/EAEU TR)set by the EAEU.

Examples include:

TR CU 004/2011(Low voltage equipment)

TR CU 020/2011(Electromagnetic compatibility)

TR CU 010/2011(Machinery safety)

TR CU 037/2016(Restriction of hazardous substances RoHS)

2.Types of Certification:

EAC Certificate(Mandatory for high risk products)–Issued after testing in accredited labs.

EAC Declaration(For medium risk products)–Self declaration by the manufacturer/importer.

State Registration Certificate(SRC)–Required for food,cosmetics,and medical products.

3.Process for EAC Certification in Kazakhstan:

Step 1:Identify the applicable Technical Regulation(TR).

Step 2:Conduct testing in an EAEU accredited lab.

Step 3:Prepare technical documentation(technical passport,user manual,etc.).

Step 4:Submit an application to a Kazakhstani or EAEU approved certification body.

Step 5:Receive the EAC Certificate/Declaration(valid for up to 5 years).

Contract with a local representative(if the applicant is foreign)

5.Local Representation:

Foreign manufacturers must appoint a local representative in Kazakhstan to handle certification.

6.Labeling Requirements:

Products must bear the EAC mark before entering the Kazakhstani market.

Validity&Recognition:

EAC certificates are valid across all EAEU countries,including Kazakhstan.

Certification is mandatory for customs clearance.
